We are looking for paid placement students to help develop new composite technologies for exciting aerospace, automotive, electronics and other industrial applications.
We count on you for:
- Work under the supervision of a scientists/engineer on a project to develop new composite technologies
- Preparation and physical, chemical and mechanical characterisation of resin/composite formulations
- Recording experimental results and observations accurately and concisely
- Collaboration with Solvay Research and Innovation colleagues

You will bring:
- Applicants must be part-way through a relevant technical degree (Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering etc.) in a UK university, and apply for this role as a year-in-industry placement
- Enthusiastic team player with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proactive and creative with good problem-solving skills and a desire to learn
- Practical and hands-on, with a commitment to safety
