A short summary of the sections below, so you can find the part that applies to you.
- 2
Paid plans can start up to 20 applications a day by swiping. It resets at midnight.
- 3
Applying to a job yourself is never limited. Neither is browsing, saving, or skipping.
- 4
The limit exists because every swipe-apply drives a real session on an employer's site. Bursts get us blocked and get your application ignored.
- 5
If you reach it, we tell you plainly and point you at the manual route. We never ask you to upgrade for something your plan already includes.
- 6
Scripted or automated use of the apply features isn't allowed. We contact you before we act on anything.
What This Policy Covers#
Two ways to apply
TalentApply gives you two routes to the same job. You can swipe right (or press Apply with AI) and have us prepare and submit the application for you, or you can open the employer's own posting and apply yourself, then record it in your applications list. This policy is about the first route only.
Why only one of them is limited
Swiping is a single gesture that sets real work in motion on our side: a browser session on the employer's site, a tailored letter, a résumé upload, and follow-up tracking. Applying yourself is paced by you, so there is nothing here to protect against.
Who it applies to
The daily limit applies to paid plans, which have no monthly application cap. Free plans are already bounded by their monthly application allowance, so this policy will not affect you before that does.
The Daily Limit#
20 applications a day, started by swiping
On a paid plan you can start up to 20 applications per day by swiping right or using Apply with AI. This is a fair-usage floor, not a plan feature we are holding back: it sits far above what active job seekers actually use.
How the day is counted
The count covers applications you started by swiping since midnight, West Africa Time, and resets at the next midnight. It is not a rolling window, so a heavy day never eats into the next one.
Every attempt counts, including ones that fail
An application counts toward the day when it is started, whether or not the employer's site accepts it. The work — and the cost — happens on the attempt. If an application fails for a reason on our side, contact us and we will put the day back.
A pace limit as well as a daily one
We also limit how quickly applications can be started, to keep automated tools from clearing an entire feed in seconds. Swiping at any human speed will never reach it.
What Is Not Limited#
Applying to jobs yourself
Opening a job, using the employer's own apply link, and recording it in TalentApply is never capped by this policy. If you reach the daily swipe limit, this route stays open to you immediately — for as many jobs as you want.
Browsing, saving, and skipping
Looking at jobs costs you nothing. You can browse the feed, save roles for later, and skip as many as you like, on any plan, with no daily ceiling of any kind.
The rest of your plan
Résumé analysis, cover letters, interview prep, career path, and the other tools on your plan have their own separate allowances. Reaching the daily swipe limit does not touch any of them.
Why This Limit Exists#
Each application is real work on someone else's site
An auto-apply is not a database row. It opens a browser session, works through the employer's form, uploads your résumé, and answers their screening questions. That has a real cost per application, and an unlimited plan plus a fast thumb has no natural ceiling.
Bursts get everyone blocked
Job boards and applicant tracking systems watch for exactly this pattern. A single account firing hundreds of applications in an evening risks our access to that board — which would take those jobs away from every candidate on TalentApply, not just one.
It is also better for your own applications
Applying to every role in a feed is not a strategy that works. Employers notice untargeted volume, and a hundred generic applications reliably performs worse than a dozen considered ones. A daily ceiling is a gentle push toward the thing that actually gets interviews.
What Happens When You Reach It#
We tell you, clearly
When you reach the day's limit, the app says so, tells you when it resets, and points you at the manual apply route. The job stays in your feed — reaching the limit never costs you a listing.
We will not ask you to upgrade
This is a fair-usage limit, not a paywall. Everyone who can reach it is already a subscriber, so we do not answer it with an offer to sell you something. There is no tier that removes it.
Nothing is lost
Your applications, saved jobs, drafts, and history are untouched. The limit pauses one route for the rest of the day and lifts on its own at midnight.
Automation and Misuse#
One account, one person
TalentApply accounts are personal. Sharing an account, or opening several to work around fair-usage limits, is not permitted under our Terms of Service.
No scripted applying
Please do not use scripts, bots, or automation tools to drive the apply features. We build the automation; the decision about which job to apply to should stay with you.
How we handle it
If usage looks automated or abusive, we will contact you first and explain what we are seeing. Where we need to act before that, we slow the account down rather than remove anything — we do not delete applications or account data over fair usage.
Changes to This Policy#
If the limit changes
We may adjust these limits as usage and costs change. If we lower a limit in a way that would affect how you already use TalentApply, we will tell subscribers before it takes effect.
If a limit is wrong for you
If you have a genuine reason to apply above this pace — a recruiting agency, a bulk placement programme, or a period of intensive searching — write to [email protected]. We would rather raise your limit than have you work around it.
