What is an ATS, and why does it matter?
Most medium and large employers receive applications through an applicant tracking system. It converts your CV into text, splits it into fields like job titles, dates and skills, and lets recruiters search and filter candidates. If the conversion garbles your layout, or your CV never states the skills a recruiter searches for, you can be filtered out before a person reads a word.

It reads the text of your CV into structured fields, and recruiters then search and filter those fields — so a CV the system cannot read cleanly, or that lacks the right terms, can be overlooked.
Is this ATS resume checker really free?+
Yes. You get your score, the category breakdown, the list of issues and your top best-fit live jobs without an account. Creating a free account unlocks the specific fix for each issue and the full list of roles.
Do you store my CV?+
No. Your file is read to produce the check and then discarded — we keep the results (scores, issues and suggested roles), not the CV or its text.
Which file types can I upload?+
PDF and DOCX, up to 5MB. If your PDF is a scanned image, there is no text for an ATS to read either — export it again from Word or Google Docs.
How is the score calculated?+
An AI model reviews your CV against six ATS-relevant areas — formatting, keywords and skills, impact, structure, readability and contact details — and scores each from 0 to 100. Treat it as a guide to what to fix first, not a guarantee of how any single employer's system will rank you.
