Testing Specialist, PT - Beavercreek
This position is designed to directly support students and the Coordinator, Access and Retention by administering (proctoring) a variety of tests: academic tests, placement tests, and TEAS tests. This position is an integral point of contact for new and current students in addition to serving as a faculty liaison. This position assists with ensuring that students who are eligible, receive their approved accommodations for tests/assessments through partnership with the Office of Accessibility. The Testing Specialist prioritizes connecting with parties in a meaningful, trauma-informed way to promote a sense of belonging on campus. They are responsible for maintaining test security, confidentiality and upholding the integrity of the Testing Center. Position is not benefit eligible.
Shift: Primarily Monday-Thursday afternoons with occasional Fridays (~20 hours/week). Includes up to two evenings per week (until 7:30 PM, based on semester schedule) and up to two Saturday mornings per year ( 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM).

This position is not eligible for telecommuting.
- Responsible for administering a variety of academic and specialty tests to students with and without disabilities, both virtually and in person.
- Proctor Accuplacer assessments, manage and explain score reports, and assist students with their next enrollment step.
- Manage testing appointments, Outlook calendar, testing email inbox, and phone calls/voicemails.
- Maintain a positive rapport with faculty, staff, and students, creating a welcoming and supportive atmosphere for testers.
- Demonstrate attention to detail and timeliness in test preparation, administration, and returning materials to faculty.
- Manage multiple software systems to enhance efficiency and productivity, including overseeing various email accounts and effectively utilizing technology to support operational goals.
- Perform office management duties, including organizing, filing, utilizing the printer and scanner, stocking supplies, and maintaining the testing area.
- Maintain test security and confidentiality and uphold the integrity of the Center.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Knowledge and Skills
- Proctoring experience preferred. Six months to two years of similar or related experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: ATI Proctor Certification, Accuplacer Certificate of Test Administration, and other proctoring certificates as needed (can be obtained on the job).

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
