At Eni, we are looking for a Technical Solutions Architect within Eni Trade & Biofuels (ETB) in London. You will be responsible for providing technical oversight of the local IT infrastructure and technology landscape, coordinating with Group IT teams and external providers, and supporting the delivery and evolution of effective technology solutions.

ETB is the trading and shipping company of Eni, covering crude oil, refined oil products and biofuels as well as gas, power, LNG and emissions. We are a diverse and dynamic team of around 300 professionals distributed in four offices (London, Rome, Brussels and Singapore) with the addition in Houston of Eni Trading & Shipping Inc. (ETS Inc) which handles marketing of oils and petroleum products for the US market. Our team is also involved in marketing Eni’s oil equity productions, sourcing hydrocarbons and bio feedstocks, and managing the output of our traditional and green refineries.

Main responsibilities

The D&IT Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in delivering and transforming the best possible systems for the trading and risk portfolio, partnering with wider D&IT teams and external parties to contribute to:

• Maintain a broad understanding of the local technology landscape, including infrastructure, network, applications, cloud services, integrations, data flows and key external dependencies.

• Act as a key technical interface with Group IT teams, ensuring local technology needs and initiatives are aligned with Group architecture, cybersecurity standards and strategic direction.

• Contribute to the evolution and modernisation of the local technology landscape, identifying opportunities for simplification, automation, cloud adoption and improved integration.

• Translate business and operational needs into practical technical requirements and contribute to the assessment, design and implementation of appropriate technology solutions.

• Support the evaluation and adoption of new applications, cloud services, AI-enabled solutions and other emerging technologies, considering technical feasibility, integration, security and operational impact.

• Support technology lifecycle activities, including upgrades, migrations, rationalisation and decommissioning, with a focus on reducing legacy complexity and enabling future capabilities.

• Coordinate technical activities with internal stakeholders and external technology providers, ensuring effective delivery, clear ownership and appropriate technical governance.

• Support incident and problem resolution where cross-technology analysis is required, helping identify root causes, dependencies and longer-term improvement opportunities.

• Maintain appropriate technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, solution documentation, inventories and technology roadmaps.

• Skills and experience required

• A university degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related technical discipline.

• Prior experience in a role related to infrastructure, technical architecture, solution architecture or similar area.

• Experience working in complex IT environments and coordinating activities with central IT teams and external technology providers.

• Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure, networking, cloud technologies, applications and system integrations.

• Experience supporting technology implementations, infrastructure changes, upgrades, migrations and decommissioning activities.

• Familiarity with Microsoft enterprise technologies, including Microsoft 365 and Azure.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to understand technical dependencies across different technology areas.

• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Ability to combine a broad technical understanding with a pragmatic and hands-on approach to IT operations and solution delivery.

• Fluent level of English.
