About the Role Sartorius seeks a Technical Sales Specialist (Gene Therapy) to drive sales growth across the West Coast by promoting our Advanced Therapy Solutions portfolio to biopharma, biotech, CDMO, academic, and hospital accounts. This remote-based role requires strong territory management, deep customer engagement, and effective use of SFDC for sales planning. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to stay current with industry trends and seed opportunities for sustained growth while located within commutable distance to San Francisco, CA.
What You'll Do
- Drive sales and revenue growth by actively promoting gene therapy focused products and services across an assigned territory, product portfolio, or key accounts
- Execute focused territory growth strategies in alignment with sales leadership
- Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities using strategic planning and CRM tools; own leads, opportunities, and pipeline visibility in SFDC
- Build and sustain long-term relationships with scientists, researchers, and executive decision-makers
- Deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and pricing solutions; drive conversions
- Collaborate cross-functionally to grow strategic accounts and accelerate revenue
- Provide technical and commercial support to advance customer success across relevant products and processes
- Champion the launch and adoption of new products and services, driving implementation
- Maintain a competitive edge by tracking market trends and emerging technologies
- Travel up to 50% within the territory to engage customers and support initiatives
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Engineering
- 3+ years in the gene therapy field with hands-on exposure to cell culture media, transfection workflows, monolith chromatography, and TFF; familiarity with LNP technologies is a plus
- 1+ years of customer-facing experience; sales or public-speaking experience beneficial
- Practical experience with Salesforce (SFDC) and other CRM systems
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities

Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $105,000 – $155,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications
- Commissions generally up to 30% of base salary plus auto allowance
