About this role

System Designer RBC_ETCS

Take on a new challenge and apply your systems design and engineering expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative, innovative, and forward-thinking teammates.

You'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of rail signalling systems by contributing to the development of the RBC-ETCS program. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as software engineering, verification and validation, safety, and certification teams), provide expertise on customer requirements, and ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions.

You’ll specifically take care of analysing change requests (CRs) and their impact on existing products, as well as proposing and documenting optimal solutions, but also supporting cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation.

We’ll look to you for:

Analysing customer needs and challenging technical proposals to optimise development efforts

Evaluating the functional, safety, and documentation impact of change requests

Proposing solutions at the system level and documenting them in SyRS

Ensuring the coherence and traceability of global solutions

Supporting software engineering, verification and validation, and safety teams in implementing solutions

Providing expertise and "hotline" support for project-level deployments
