About the Role The Supplier Quality Engineer – Mechanics supports the Supplier Quality Management (SQM) team in supplier quality improvement and harmonization efforts, applying quality tools and problem-solving methodologies to coordinate the resolution of supplier quality issues and escalations. The role ensures robust supplier performance controls, containment actions, and root-cause investigations to improve supply chain stability and regulatory compliance. What You'll Do
- Support supplier quality assurance and control activities, monitoring performance indicators to ensure compliance with quality requirements and international regulations.
- Act as the central point of contact for supplier quality concerns, processing nonconformities and leading the resolution of supplier quality issues and escalations.
- Ensure the implementation of SQM requirements, including containment actions, root-cause investigations, and preventive measures (CAPA).
- Evaluate supplier performance and capability, developing measures to ensure a high level of supply chain stability.
- Enforce quality requirements with suppliers and organize quality meetings and escalations when necessary.
- Process 8D/SCAR reports, coordinate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and support root-cause analyses in collaboration with specialist departments.
- Support supplier audits and new supplier activities, including part and process qualification and validation.
- Drive a homogeneous understanding of procedures, processes, and approaches within the global SQM group, driving process harmonization and standardization. What We're Looking For
- Education: A graduate degree in engineering, science, quality, or another technical field, or 10+ years of work experience in supplier quality management.
- Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of ISO 13485 and ISO 9001. Knowledge of QSR 820, MDSAP, and MDR is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 6 years of experience in a medical device manufacturing environment in a quality-related role, with practical experience in supplier quality management and contract manufacturing.
- Technical Expertise: Profound knowledge of plastic injection molding, polymers, resins, lacquering, coating, and related production technologies for mechanical components.
- Experience with 8D/SCAR methodologies, quality reports, improvement programs, and supplier audits is essential.
- Personal Attributes: You are self-confident, well-organized, reliable, and pay close attention to detail. You possess good communication and presentation skills and are comfortable managing projects.
- Language & IT: Fluent English skills (written and spoken) are mandatory. Vietnamese or German language skills are a plus. Advanced MS Office skills are required, and programming or AI tools knowledge is beneficial.
- Travel: You are willing to travel (approx. 30% of the time), primarily within the APAC region. Nice to Have
- Additional language skills (e.g., Vietnamese or German) beyond English.
