Our client, a leading financial services organization, is hiring a Software Engineer to join their team in New York. The successful candidate will develop the systems behind its systematic trading strategies and build high-performance applications for market data processing, research, forecasting and trade execution.

Responsibilities

• Develop low-latency applications that ingest and process large volumes of market data from global exchanges and vendors.

• Design and improve trading execution systems with a strong focus on speed, reliability, and correctness.

• Build C++ tools and libraries that help researchers develop and deploy statistical and machine learning models.

• Improve the performance and resilience of live production systems.

• Work with quantitative researchers to turn research ideas into scalable applications.

• Skillset

• BA degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or similar.

• Advanced C++ engineering experience, including building robust, maintainable production software.

• Strong knowledge of performance optimisation, distributed systems, and complex data pipelines.

• Ability to assess interconnected systems and make sound architectural decisions.

• Experience working on systems where correctness, reliability and recovery are critical.

• Own complex technical work and prioritise it according to business impact.

• Experience in financial markets is a bonus but not essential.

Benefits

• Salary: $275k – $350k

• Performance bonus.
