About the Role

Tyler Technologies is seeking a Software Engineer to help develop and support our financial management solutions used by local government and school districts. You will work across the full software development lifecycle to design, build, test, document, and integrate applications, primarily in Manila with hybrid work arrangements.

What You'll Do

  • Participate in analyzing, designing, writing and testing code, documenting and implementing functionally appropriate, technically sound, and well-integrated application systems according to customer requirements and standards.

  • Participate in new application development and existing system enhancements by coding system features according to designs.

  • Maintain existing application programs by fixing bugs or clearing operational deficiencies in released and planned releases.

  • Assure program, module and system integrity through thorough testing and adherence to company standards.

  • Work through all phases of the software development life cycle: research, design, analysis, requirements, implementation, test automation, and maintenance.

  • Utilize new technologies to modify products and provide integration with internal/external applications.

  • Prepare and modify program and system documentation.

  • Provide guidance to less experienced team members to ensure knowledge transfer and training meet department goals.

  • Achieve departmental goals and timelines.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or comparable work experience.

  • Typically 2+ years of software development experience with database technology.

  • Strong knowledge of software development practices, CS theory, and relevant technologies.

  • Proficiency in: .NET / C# (or similar high-level language), Python, SQL (SQL Server 2016+), AWS.

  • Experience writing and testing code to meet strict deadlines.

  • Understanding of product architecture, underlying technologies, and development processes.

  • Experience with data modeling tools, web services and/or service-oriented architecture.

  • Ability to work well independently and in a team.

  • Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills.

  • Experience guiding less experienced staff and balancing enhancements with business constraints.

  • Logical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
