In This Role, Your

Responsibilities

Will Be:

  • Execute customer orders for valves, actuators, and valve automation products.
  • Create and maintain parts, mounting kits, bills of materials, and other order-related engineering documentation.
  • Develop valve and actuator integration solutions, including adaptors, mounting brackets, mounting plates, and piping arrangements.
  • Create, review, and release general arrangement drawings, outline drawings, and schematic drawings.
  • Collaborate with global engineering teams to create and review complete valve design packages, including detailed drawings, bills of materials, engineering calculations, analysis reports, and equipment specifications.
  • Communicate technical requirements and design details clearly to plant engineers, test engineers, project managers, supervisors, and other partners.
  • Define and support manufacturing validation testing on the shop floor.
  • Support product selection and quotation teams with technically appropriate part selection.
  • Investigate and resolve engineering issues arising in manufacturing or field applications.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve engineering efficiency through automation, artificial intelligence, and other digital tools.
  • Promote safe, ethical, and high-quality execution while demonstrating integrity in engineering decisions.
  • Travel to Emerson, supplier, or customer locations as required by business needs.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Demonstrated experience in mechanical engineering, product engineering, sustaining engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Practical ability to create and review mechanical designs, engineering drawings, bills of materials, calculations, and technical documentation.
  • Working knowledge of design-verification methods, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
  • Proficiency with one or more computer-aided design applications, such as Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or comparable software.
  • Familiarity with enterprise resource planning systems and engineering document-control or change-management processes.
  • Knowledge of relevant international valve or pressure-equipment standards, which may include ASME, API, EN, ISO, PED, or BS requirements.
  • Ability to assess and resolve technical issues in manufacturing, shop-floor, or field environments.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to collaborate with colleagues across functions, cultures, and locations.
  • Professional working proficiency in English.
  • Willingness to collaborate across global time zones when necessary and travel based on business requirements.
  • A degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of relevant education, technical training, and practical experience.

Qualifications

That Set You Apart:

  • Experience with industrial valves, actuators, valve automation, configured products, or comparable mechanical equipment.
  • Applied knowledge of valve design and certification standards, such as EN 12516, ASME B16.34, API 609, ISO 15848, or API 607.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing validation, product localization, design certification, or shop-floor problem-solving.
  • Experience creating or reviewing complete mechanical product design packages.
  • Experience working with remote teams in a global or matrixed organization.
  • Familiarity with automation and data-visualization tools, such as VBA, Power BI, artificial intelligence assistants, or comparable technologies.
  • Ability to identify improvement opportunities and translate ideas into practical engineering solutions.
  • Additional language capabilities that support collaboration with global colleagues, suppliers, and customers.
