Chemours is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team. This position will report directly to the Manufacturing Technology Manager in our Louisville, KY location.

Job Summary

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Provides the technical expertise and team leadership on various matters of mechanical engineering for chemical process manufacturing.
• Identifies, leads and drives improvements in the area of equipment maintenance including philosophies, strategies and best maintenance practices.
• Monitoring product and process performances as needed; assessing reliability of operations, identifying failures and causes of failures, and recommending solutions.
• Specifying, and documenting technology parameters to insure the process is capable of delivering products at the level of the quality required by the final customer.
• Regarded as technical lead for area assignment and provides technical guidance to the business to enable strategic decisions.
• Owner of small capital projects for the site.
• Recommends, specifies and implements improvements to production processes, methods and controls.
• Applies knowledge of PSM principles to own and team’s activities.

Qualifications

In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

• Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in mechanical engineering

• 6-12 years in industry supporting either a chemical manufacturing process or steam/power generation and distribution OR Military Equivalent Experience

• Strong background in root cause failure analysis

• Strong collaborative and leadership skills with a “hands on” attitude.

• Preferred

• Green Belt or Black Belt Certification

• Experience working in the chemicals industry

• Experience with process safety management and highly toxic materials

• Pay Range (in local currency): $110,544.00 - $172,725.00

• Chemours Level: 26

• Annual Bonus Target: 6%
