Senior Maintenance Technician
Solve complex equipment challenges, lead major repairs, and mentor fellow technicians at our Whitewater, WI manufacturing facility.

Schedule: 3rd Shift, Sunday–Thursday, 10:55 PM–7:00 AM
Other Compensation: Shift differential

What You'll Do as a Senior Maintenance Technician
- Lead advanced troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of complex industrial equipment and machinery, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute major equipment repairs, rebuilds, installations, and maintenance projects to support reliable manufacturing operations.
- Lead root cause analyses of recurring equipment failures, implement corrective actions, and strengthen preventive maintenance practices.
- Partner with engineering and operations teams to improve equipment design, manufacturing processes, reliability, and operational efficiency.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, maintenance best practices, and long-term equipment maintenance strategies.
- Train, mentor, and certify Level 1 and Level 2 maintenance technicians, sharing technical knowledge and supporting skill development.
- Coordinate contractors and vendors performing specialized maintenance, repairs, and equipment-related services.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts to increase equipment uptime, reduce maintenance costs, and improve workplace safety while ensuring compliance with applicable safety, environmental, and quality regulations.
What You'll Bring
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years of maintenance or skilled-trade experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Advanced knowledge of industrial equipment troubleshooting, repair techniques, and preventive maintenance practices.
- Strong technical proficiency in diagnosing and resolving complex equipment and machinery problems.
- Proven ability to train and mentor other maintenance technicians.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working effectively with engineering, quality, operations, and maintenance teams.
- No formal education credential is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Trade certification or professional licensing in a mechanical, electrical, or multi-skilled maintenance discipline.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This position involves hands-on maintenance work in a manufacturing environment, including:
- Standing, walking, bending, climbing, and reaching for extended periods, potentially up to 12 hours.
- Frequently lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling materials, tools, or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Using manual dexterity to handle tools, materials, and small equipment components.
- Reading gauges, technical manuals, and equipment information and performing detailed visual inspections.
- Working in environments that may be noisy, hot, or confined.
- Consistently using required personal protective equipment (PPE).
