Description

  • Position Summary: The Senior Data Scientist will focus on turning data into actionable insights that help support business decisions and measurable outcomes. This role will develop predictive solutions, evaluate AI and analytics outcomes, and partner with stakeholders to identify opportunities where data and advanced analytics can improve efficiency, performance, cost, and overall business value.

  • Essential Functions: Design, develop, and evaluate production-grade statistical and machine learning models. Develop predictive solutions supporting healthcare operations, member experience, provider engagement, and business performance. Perform feature engineering and model validation. Establish best practices for experimentation and model evaluation. Employ and evangelize advanced statistical techniques where applicable. Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, opportunities, and operational insights. Translate business questions into analytical approaches and measurable outcomes. Present findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences. Help business stakeholders make data-driven decisions. Design and analyze experiments to evaluate process improvements, AI systems, and business interventions. Define success metrics and measurement strategies for new AI and analytics initiatives. Assess model performance and business impact over time. Partner with stakeholders to define key performance indicators (KPIs). Design executive and business-facing dashboards. Drive metric standardization and reporting consistency. Interpret trends and provide insight into changes in business performance. Identify opportunities where analytics, machine learning, or AI can improve operational outcomes. Support evaluation of emerging AI capabilities and business use cases. Other duties as assigned.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or equivalent combination of education and work experience required.

Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in data science, analytics, machine learning, AI, or applied statistics. Expert knowledge of statistics. Strong Python skills. Advanced SQL knowledge. Experience developing predictive models and analytical solutions. Experience communicating insights to business stakeholders and executives. Strong understanding of experimentation, model evaluation, and statistical analysis. Experience working in healthcare, insurance, claims, or related regulated industries. Experience with Power BI or similar BI platforms. Experience with cloud-based analytics environments. Familiarity with machine learning deployment workflows. Familiarity with generative AI evaluation methodologies and LLM-based systems. Experience with coding assistants, e.g., Claude Code, for feature-oriented development
