The Search Analyst is responsible for optimizing onsite search performance across adiglobaldistribution.us, adiglobaldistribution.ca, snapav.com, and related digital properties. This role analyzes customer search behavior, manages search relevance and merchandising rules, monitors search health, and delivers actionable insights that improve product discoverability, customer experience, conversion, and revenue.

The Search Analyst serves as the primary day-to-day owner/tactician of onsite search optimization, partnering with Digital Merchandising, Product, Analytics, PIM, Business and Technology teams to ensure customers can efficiently find the products and content they need.
JOB DUTIES:
- Manage and optimize onsite search experiences across digital properties.
- Configure and maintain search rules, including ranking, boosting, burying, synonyms, redirects, and merchandising strategies.
- Monitor and improve search relevance, product discoverability, and customer search experiences.
- Analyze customer search behavior, intent, and discovery metrics to identify trends, performance gaps, and optimization opportunities.
- Develop actionable recommendations to improve conversion, engagement, and search performance.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on key search KPIs, including revenue, CTR, CVR, Average Click Rank, and zero-result searches.
- Measure the impact of search enhancements, merchandising initiatives, and platform changes.
- Audit and validate product catalog data, including attributes, taxonomy, item status, and related information that influences search performance.
- Identify, investigate, and support resolution of data quality, configuration, and search-related issues affecting product discoverability.
- Conduct testing and quality assurance activities for search enhancements, releases, configuration updates, and platform changes.
- Review and validate search results following catalog, content, or platform updates.
- Partner with Product, Merchandising, PIM, Analytics, Category Management, and Technology teams to align search experiences with business priorities and improve overall search performance.
YOU MUST HAVE:
- 2+ years of experience in search optimization, eCommerce, digital merchandising, website search, analytics, or a related field; experience with search platforms such as Coveo, Algolia, Bloomreach, Elasticsearch, or similar is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends, diagnose issues, and translate data into actionable business recommendations.
- Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP/INDEX-MATCH, conditional formulas, text manipulation, and analysis of large datasets.
- Experience working with analytics tools, performance reporting, and large datasets to measure and optimize customer search and discovery experiences.
- Full professional English proficiency, with strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across Merchandising, Product, Analytics, and Technology teams.
WE VALUE:
- Hands-on Coveo experience (or experience with a comparable enterprise search and product discovery platform).
- Experience with GA4 or similar digital analytics platforms.
- Working knowledge of SQL for querying and analyzing data.
- Familiarity with HTML, JavaScript, Python, APIs or other web and data technologies.
- Experience with ecommerce product catalogs, product attributes, taxonomy or PIM systems.
- B2B ecommerce or distribution experience.
