About the Role Jump Trading Group is seeking a Research Scientist/Research Engineer focused on deep learning to translate state-of-the-art research into production-grade capabilities for quantitative trading. The role emphasizes applying deep learning to complex, challenging domains and delivering projects from concept to production across the monetization process. What You'll Do
- Apply deep learning to achieve state-of-the-art capabilities in complex domains and implement open-ended research projects from concept to production, continuously improving model design, tools, and infrastructure.
- Explore potential projects across the quantitative research and monetization process.
- Combine ML expertise with engineering pragmatism, statistics, and market intuition to drive research outcomes.
- Perform other duties as assigned or needed. What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience developing DL systems with measurable impact in industry and/or academia.
- Creative, driven, self-motivated problem solver.
- Proficiency in Python and/or C++.
- Strong foundation in mathematics and statistics.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- PhD, or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related subject.
- Strong publications record at ICML, ICLR, AAAI, NeurIPS, UAI, KDD, or equivalent.
- Reliable and predictable availability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $200,000–$350,000 USD per year.
