About the Role Western Digital is seeking a highly skilled Product Test Lab Senior Engineer to lead testing and validation activities for new HDD products at the Fujisawa development site. The role focuses on assuring product quality, reliability, and compliance through rigorous testing, data analysis, and process improvement, from concept exploration to mass production. What You'll Do
- Lead testing and validation activities for new products at WD's Fujisawa HDD development site.
- Understand new products and establish evaluation processes and criteria.
- Develop evaluation programs and test methods to support new technologies and features.
- Investigate defects and issues observed during evaluation and propose effective countermeasures.
- Analyze evaluation data to drive quality improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design for quality and manufacturability.
- Provide leadership in the lab and drive process improvements. What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree or higher.
- Programming experience in Python and SQL.
- English: reading and writing required in business context (TOEIC around 700 or higher preferred).
- Hands-on lab experience and leadership capability; strong technical foundation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
