Job Summary

  • We are seeking an experienced, proactive, and results-driven Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Company and ensure that business activities are carried out efficiently, safely, and in line with organizational objectives.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating people, processes, resources, projects, and operational activities across the Company's offices, farms, and project sites. The role requires strong leadership, planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate the Company's daily operational activities across offices, farms, and project sites.
  • Develop and implement operational plans, procedures, and systems to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Coordinate activities between departments to ensure smooth and effective business operations.
  • Monitor operational performance and ensure that targets, timelines, and service standards are achieved.
  • Supervise operational teams, provide guidance, and ensure effective workforce utilization.
  • Manage operational resources, equipment, materials, and facilities efficiently.
  • Monitor project and farm activities and ensure work is completed according to approved plans, budgets, and timelines.
  • Identify operational challenges and develop practical solutions to improve performance.
  • Prepare and review operational reports for Management, highlighting progress, challenges, risks, and recommendations.
  • Monitor operating costs and support the implementation of cost-control measures.
  • Ensure compliance with Company policies, procedures, health and safety requirements, and applicable regulations.
  • Work closely with HR to support workforce planning, performance management, training, and employee discipline where required.
  • Coordinate with Procurement, Finance, Sales, Technical, Farm, and other departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Monitor the maintenance and proper use of company equipment, vehicles, machinery, and other operational assets.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend strategies to enhance productivity and profitability.
  • Support Management in implementing strategic initiatives and achieving overall business objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Agriculture, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in operations management, preferably within agriculture, agro-allied, manufacturing, construction, or a related industry.

  • Proven experience managing teams and coordinating multiple operational activities.

  • Strong knowledge of operational planning, budgeting, resource management, and performance monitoring.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.

  • Ability to work effectively across multiple locations, including farms and project sites.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with relevant operational management systems.

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.

  • High level of integrity, accountability, organization, and attention to detail.

  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certification in Operations Management, Project Management, Agriculture, or a related discipline is an advantage.

  • Experience working in an agro-allied or agricultural environment will be highly advantageous.

  • Experience managing farm operations, projects, logistics, equipment, or field-based teams is an added advantage.
