On-site Service Engineer – AI Data Center

Our On-Site Engineers (OSEs) play a critical role in supporting AI Server systems, providing hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and rapid recovery of Dell hardware and infrastructure solutions at customer locations. Working closely with customers and cross-functional teams, OSEs help ensure system uptime, reliability, and a high standard of service.

As an On-Site Service Engineer, you will provide on-site technical expertise to maintain system availability, troubleshoot complex hardware, firmware, and software issues, and drive rapid recovery during critical outages. You will work closely with customers and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable support, preventive maintenance, and continuous service improvements.

You will:

• Provide on-site technical support for AI Server systems, ensuring system reliability and minimal downtime.
• Troubleshoot complex hardware, firmware, and software issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Perform server maintenance, including part replacements, firmware upgrades, system health checks, and Field Change Orders (FCOs).
• Collaborate with engineering and customer teams to resolve critical issues and validate firmware updates.
• Identify recurring issues and recommend improvements to enhance service efficiency and system reliability.
• Provide technical guidance and documentation while serving as a trusted advisor on Dell AI and data center infrastructure.

Essential Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience in technical support, field engineering, or data center support.
• Hands-on experience with server, storage, networking hardware, and data center environments, including system diagnostics, repair, and component replacement.
• Strong ability to interpret system logs, diagnostic outputs, and performance data for troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Flexibility to support on-call, overtime, or alternative work schedules and travel to customer sites as required.
• Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs, with a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Desirable Requirements

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Dell Proven Professional Certification, particularly Storage Technology Foundations, or other relevant Dell certifications.
• Industry certifications such as CompTIA Network+/Server+, CCNA, VMware VCP, RHCSA/RHCE, ITIL, or Kubernetes CKA will be an added advantage.
• Experience supporting enterprise data center, storage, networking, virtualization, Linux, or cloud environments will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

You will:

• Assist with bank account administration, documentation, and data entry accuracy.
• Prepare simple reports and status updates for the team.
• Support reconciliations and evidence packs; maintain filing standards.
• Learn treasury tools, controls, and basic forecasting as part of your development plan.
