Role overview

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Middle/Senior SAP Integration Suite Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Europe. Our client is a leading multinational company in the building materials industry. They set the benchmark for gypsum-based products and systems, as well as energy-efficient insulation materials, in terms of market development and customer orientation. With 150 production facilities and sales organizations in over 86 countries, it is one of the big players in the market in Europe, the USA, South America, Asia, Africa, and Australia.

You will assist in delivering new integration builds and support the migration of existing PI/PO landscapes to SAP Integration Suite (Cloud Integration/CPI). This is a hands-on delivery role within an Agile delivery team, with exposure to modern event-driven and microservices architecture (Kafka, Quarkus) considered a strong advantage.

Requirements

• Proven hands-on experience with SAP Integration Suite / Cloud Integration (CPI), including building, deploying, and supporting iFlows.

• Knowledge of the SAP ECC/ERP ABAP stack and its integration layer; ABAP understanding and debugging skills are a plus.

• Familiarity with SAP ECC functional areas and business objects such as Sales Orders, Purchase Orders, Deliveries, Shipments, and Customer/Vendor Invoices.

• Experience with SAP Integration Suite, API Management (IS-APIM), including provider and proxy configuration, API keys, OAuth 2.0, and SSL.

• Demonstrable experience with PI/PO-to-CPI migration projects, rather than greenfield CPI implementations only.

• Strong understanding of integration patterns and technologies, including REST, SOAP, IDoc, OData, EDI, and B2B.

• Experience with adapters such as HTTP, SFTP, ProcessDirect, JDBC, and Mail, as well as standard and custom mappings using Groovy scripting and XSLT.

• Working knowledge of security artifacts, including OAuth, certificates, and credential management.

• Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum or SAFe), with familiarity with sprint cadences and ceremonies.

• Strong stakeholder communication skills, with the ability to work directly with both business and technical teams.

• Exposure to configuring and maintaining SAP BTP platform components, including subaccounts, entitlements, service instances, and Cloud Connector for on-premise connectivity.

• Exposure to Kafka, including event-driven integration, topics, producers, and consumers.

• Exposure to Quarkus or comparable Java microservices frameworks.

• Experience working in hybrid integration environments combining cloud and on-premise systems.

• Familiarity with Kubernetes and containerized deployment of integration components.

• SAP Integration Suite certification.

• Experience in relevant industries, such as manufacturing or supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy integration flows using SAP Integration Suite (CPI), including adapters, mappings, exception handling, and security artifacts.

• Lead or contribute to PI/PO-to-CPI migration initiatives, including assessing existing interfaces, re-platforming iFlows, and validating functionality after migration.

• Work within an Agile delivery model (Scrum/SAFe), participating in sprint planning, backlog refinement, estimation, and iterative delivery.

• Collaborate with architects and business stakeholders to translate integration requirements into scalable and reusable designs.

• Support hybrid integration scenarios across cloud-to-cloud and cloud-to-on-premise environments.

• Where applicable, integrate with event-streaming technologies such as Kafka and microservices built with Quarkus as part of broader data and integration architectures.

• Ensure interfaces meet performance, security, and monitoring standards, and support hypercare and defect resolution after go-live.

• Create and maintain technical documentation, including interface specifications, mapping documents, and runbooks.
