About this role
Solventum is seeking a Medical Liaison to join our remote team based in Texas. In this role, you will engage with healthcare professionals, researchers, and key opinion leaders to share information about our products and services, while supporting collaborative relationships and advancing clinical initiatives. You will represent Solventum at professional meetings, conferences, advisory boards, and other events, ensuring accurate and compelling communication of the value of our solutions. You will also identify external research collaborations, gather feedback from clinicians on product performance and patient outcomes, and work with internal partners to drive continuous improvement. The position offers opportunities to mentor colleagues, support new product development, and contribute as a subject matter expert across medical affairs activities, all while upholding regulatory and ethical standards.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders, healthcare professionals, and researchers to facilitate information exchange about Solventum products and services through presentations and one-on-one meetings.
- Support professional relationship development through scientifically appropriate information sharing and identify opportunities to partner with key opinion leaders on disease-state initiatives aligned with Solventum’s mission.
- Represent Solventum at professional meetings, conferences, advisory boards, investigator meetings, local symposia, and partner-sponsored meetings, including grand rounds, departmental meetings, and physician practice meetings; communicate the value of Solventum products effectively.
- Identify and engage external researchers and institutions to explore potential clinical research initiatives and studies related to Solventum products.
- Gather and communicate feedback from healthcare professionals regarding product performance, patient outcomes, and potential areas for product development.
- Develop and nurture strong internal partnerships to maintain alignment and drive impactful results, including mentoring Medical Liaison team members.
- Support new product development and various medical affairs activities, including identifying candidates for research and educational collaboration, advisory panels, and acting as subject matter expert as appropriate.
- Ensure all activities comply with relevant regulatory and ethical standards, maintaining the integrity and reputation of Solventum.
Requirements

Doctoral degree in biomedical science/engineering and/or health profession, and at least three years of medical device experience in research, clinical, or medical settings.

Three years of background in wound care/management in a research or clinical capacity.

Additional qualifications that could help include:

Industry experience in the medical device field, preferably in a Medical Affairs role.

Strong understanding of the medical device or pharmaceutical industry, including clinical research processes and regulatory/compliance requirements.

Three years of experience in customer-facing, field-based medical and/or scientific activities.

Proven ability to build relationships and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail; proactive, engaging, and capable of cross-cultural communication.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.

Willingness to travel as needed to engage with healthcare professionals and attend industry conferences.

Proficiency in French (oral and written) is a plus.
