Mechanical Supervisor

The Mechanical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of mechanical systems and machinery. This role includes supervising a team, ensuring maintenance protocols are followed, and troubleshooting when necessary. It is critical for the Mechanical Supervisor to ensure all mechanical equipment functions efficiently and safely.

Roles / Responsibilities:

• Supervise the routine maintenance and inspection operations for a facilities mechanical equipment, control systems, plumbing systems, power distribution systems and HVAC systems.
• Conduct regular maintenance and safety checks on all mechanical systems.
• Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work.
• Supervise and coordinate mechanical engineers and technicians.
• Prepare reports on mechanical system performance and maintenance.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues promptly.
• Train team members on best practices and now technologies.

Qualification and Experience:

• BSc or HND in Mechanical Engineering (Preferred).
• Successful trade test certification.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Cost Estimation Software, MS Office Suite and MS project.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to act competently in emergencies.
• Understanding how to read blueprints and system schematics.
• BSc or HND in Mechanical Engineering (Preferred).
• Successful trade test certification.
