Job Summary/ Key Responsibilities:
- Assists customers with matters related to inland transportation of their cargo, by rail and / or truck.
- Monitors information using MSC proprietary IT systems, MS Excel and Power BI.
- Liaises with intermodal customers, US customs and various MSC departments globally as needed.
- Communicates quickly and effectively with respective vendors.
- Analyzes data and considers performance modifications and implements strategies to support process efficiencies.
- Provides timely and accurate responses to all inquiries regarding transportation statuses and updates.
- Observes corporate guidelines when addressing vendor and customer inquiries regarding shipments.
- Escalates unique or complex issues to the appropriate supervisor for resolution when necessary.
- Anticipates potential problems before they arise as well as having problem solving skills to solve any unforeseen issues.
- Presence required on-site 5 days per week
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
This role requires working on-site in the office for five days a week, from Monday to Friday. There is no option for fully remote or hybrid work in this role, unless required off-site duties are being performed.
