Job Description

The Lead SAP Finance Analyst serves as the functional lead for SAP Finance (FI/CO) solutions, partnering with Finance, Accounting, IT, and business stakeholders to optimize financial processes and systems. This role is responsible for supporting, enhancing, and governing SAP Finance applications, contributing to projects and continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring alignment between business requirements and technical solutions.

The ideal candidate combines strong finance and accounting knowledge with deep SAP functional expertise and demonstrated experience leading cross-functional initiatives in a global environment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

SAP Finance Functional Support

• Act as the primary functional expert for SAP Finance modules, including:

• General Ledger (GL)

• Accounts Payable (AP)

• Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Fixed Assets (FA)

• Cost Center Accounting (CCA)

• Internal Orders

• Profit Center Accounting (PCA)

• Product Costing

• COPA (where applicable)

• Lead system design, configuration, testing, deployment, and support activities.

• Provide strategic guidance on SAP Finance roadmap and future-state capabilities.

Business Partnership

• Collaborate with Finance and Accounting leadership to understand business objectives and requirements.
• Translate business needs into scalable SAP solutions and process improvements.
• Facilitate workshops, requirements gathering, and solution design sessions.
• Serve as a trusted advisor for finance process transformation initiatives.

Project and Enhancement Delivery

• Lead SAP projects, upgrades, rollouts, acquisitions, and integration initiatives.
• Manage project scope, timelines, risks, and stakeholder communications.
• Coordinate activities among business users, technical teams, consultants, and vendors.
• Ensure successful execution of testing, training, and change management activities.

Production Support & Governance

• Provide leadership for SAP Finance support activities.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and drive root cause analysis.
• Establish and maintain application governance, support models, and documentation standards.
• Monitor system performance and recommend improvements.

Financial Process Optimization

• Identify opportunities to streamline and automate financial processes.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
• Improve controls, compliance, reporting, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to accounting policies and regulatory requirements.

Data, Reporting, and Analytics

• Partner with reporting teams to support financial reporting requirements.
• Ensure integrity and accuracy of finance master data.
• Support integrations between SAP and reporting/analytics platforms.

MUST HAVES:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience supporting SAP Finance solutions.
• 5+ years of experience in SAP FI/CO functional analysis and configuration.
• Involvement in 3 or more full lifecycle SAP projects from start to finish.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial processes, and controls.
• Experience leading SAP implementations, upgrades, or transformation projects.
• Proven ability to translate business requirements into system solutions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience working with cross-functional and global teams.

WE VALUE:

• Knowledge of Treasury, Group Reporting and US GAAP requirements.

Range The typical hiring salary for this role, ranges from USD $133263.64 to $198821.82 per year but varies by specific work location. For example, the hiring salary for this role in Melville, NY is $159916.36 to $238586.18 per year and New York City, NY is $166579.55 to $248527.27 . Within a range, our company determines base pay for an individual based on various factors, including market conditions, skills, and experience.

• Incentive Eligible (RBP) This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus of up to 10% of the annual base salary. The bonus is contingent upon both individual and company performance.
