Interior Decorator
Job Summary
- We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented, and experienced Hospitality Interior Decorator to elevate the visual appeal, ambiance, and aesthetic experience of our commercial properties, including hotels, shopping malls, and entertainment venues.
- In this role, you will be responsible for transforming spatial concepts into welcoming, functional, and visually stunning environments that align with our brand identity and enhance the guest experience.
Key Responsibilities

Aesthetic & Concept Development: Develop mood boards, color palettes, material samples, and design themes that reflect the distinct identity of each property (e.g., hotel lobbies, suites, mall common areas, dining spaces).

Furnishing & Styling: Source, select, and arrange furniture, lighting fixtures, window treatments, artwork, floor coverings, decorative accessories, and floral/greenery displays.

Space Planning & Staging: Collaborate with architects, spatial planners, and operations teams to optimize room layouts for maximum guest comfort, traffic flow, and aesthetic impact.

Vendor & Procurement Management: Build relationships with fabricators, artisans, furniture manufacturers, and textile suppliers. Negotiate pricing, manage orders, and ensure timely delivery of decor elements.

Project Supervision: Oversee on-site decoration, installation, and final staging to ensure alignment with design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines.

Seasonal & Event Refresh: Plan and execute seasonal, holiday, or promotional decor updates for mall concourses, hotel foyers, and public areas.

Maintenance & Quality Control: Periodically audit existing properties to identify worn decorative items, recommending refurbishments or updates to keep properties looking pristine.

Key Requirements & Qualifications

Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Decorative Arts, Fine Arts, or a related field.

Experience: 3+ years of proven experience in interior decoration or visual styling, specifically within the hospitality, retail, or luxury commercial sectors.

Portfolio: A strong visual portfolio demonstrating previous work in hotels, shopping centers, restaurants, or large-scale commercial spaces.

Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of commercial-grade textiles, durable fabrics, lighting techniques, and color theory suitable for high-traffic environments.

Vendor Network: Established relationships with local and international furniture vendors, artists, and decor suppliers is a plus.

Software Skills: Proficiency in design tools such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop/InDesign), or Moodboard software.

Soft Skills: Exceptional spatial awareness, eye for detail, strong communication skills, budget management, and the ability to work under tight timelines.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

Ability to visit project sites, inspect installations, and move or arrange decor items as required during setup phases.

Occasional evening or weekend work may be required during property launches or major holiday redesigns.
