As an In-Suite Attendant at Fairmont Kea Lani, you lead from the heart and make our guests feel special by creating and maintaining a comfortable, inviting and clean accommodation.

Hourly Rate: $24.21

What you will be doing:

• Handle all table, tray, and cart return duties, including checking with guests for pickup convenience.
• Perform floor sweeps as needed, collecting used In-Suite Dining equipment, tableware, and linens.
• Bus all tables, trays, and carts.
• Check with the order taker, captain, and manager regarding specific duties for the shift.
• Inspect service stations for necessary equipment and setup (ice, dishes, utensils) and replenish as needed.
• Provide guests with clear, helpful information about menu items and answer any questions they may have.
• Adhere to the State of Hawaii & EHC (Environmental Health Consultancy) food handling safety standards
• Organize time so all side work is completed according to shift demand
• Maintain atmosphere of aloha spirit by providing engaging, personalized, timely, and efficient service to our discerning guests
• Focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
• Promote and enforce health and safety awareness as well as to have a complete understanding of the emergency procedures
• Follow hotel and departmental policies, procedures and service standards
• Contribute to the improvement of the operation by contributing ideas, making suggestions and actively participate in departmental communication meetings
• Check with captain, order taker or manager before leaving shift. Bring any concerns to the attention of the Manager On Duty

Schedule: Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, employees are required to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays, to accommodate the business and demands of the hotel.

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

• Warm and caring personality; previous hospitality experience an asset

• Ability to work cohesively as part of a team with minimum supervision

• Ability to anticipate and focus attention on guest needs, being professional and welcoming

• Licenses or Certificates

• Valid Driver’s License required

• TB Clearance required

• Food Safety Certification required

Your working environment:

• Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs.

• Must be able to push and pull 100 lbs.

• Constant standing, walking and reaching

• Frequent lifting/carrying, pushing and pulling

• Occasional crouching, bending, stooping, and kneeling

• Requires grasping, writing, repetitive motions, listening, hearing and visual acuity
