Role summary
We are looking for a proactive and people-focused HR Business Partner to join our HR team at Flowserve.
In this role, you will act as a trusted HR partner to our Hungary-based Business Support Center (BSC), supporting a diverse organization of several hundred employees across Finance and other back-office functions. You will provide hands-on HR guidance to managers and employees, helping leaders navigate complex employee matters, strengthen organizational performance and ensure HR practices are aligned with business needs, company policies and local employment legislation.

Your role:
Serve as the primary HR Business Partner for our BSC, providing comprehensive HR support to managers and employees across Finance and other functions
Manage employee relations matters, including workplace conflicts, disciplinary cases, grievances, performance improvement plans (PIPs), and employee terminations
Ensure compliance with Hungarian labor legislation, internal HR policies and company procedures
Develop, review and implement HR policies, guidelines and processes to support business needs and ensure consistent HR practices
Support performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, employee development and underperformance management
Partner with business leaders on workforce planning, organizational development, talent management, succession planning and employee engagement initiatives
Collaborate with HR teams on recruitment, onboarding, internal mobility and employee retention activities
Support organizational changes, restructuring activities and HR improvement initiatives while providing practical guidance to managers and employees
Your profile:
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in an HR Business Partner, HR Generalist or similar broad HR role
Previous HR experience supporting Finance, Shared Services Center (SSC) or Business Support Center (BSC) operations
Experience working in a multinational or international corporate environment
Professional working proficiency in English (both written and spoken)
Good knowledge of Hungarian labor legislation and practical experience handling employee relations matters
Experience supporting performance management, employee development, recruitment and other core HR processes
Ability to handle sensitive and complex employee situations independently, with sound judgment and professionalism
Strong communication, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills, with a genuine interest in supporting people
Proactive, enthusiastic and solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to take ownership and manage multiple priorities
