Job title: HR Business Partner

About the Role ESAB is seeking an HR Business Partner to support and execute operational HR activities for the Katowice production plant and to support the commercial organization in Poland. The role partners with local leaders and employees to align people initiatives with business objectives, foster employee engagement and performance, and support talent and organizational development.

What You'll Do

  • Act as a trusted HR advisor to the Area Sales Manager on HR-related matters.
  • Lead Talent Management & Succession Planning: conduct annual Talent Review and calibrate with HR Manager Commercial - Eastern; develop and monitor individual development plans for key talent; advise on retention strategies; monitor talent risks and propose mitigation plans; promote a performance and growth-oriented culture.
  • Manage Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning: perform recruitment activities for key and strategic positions.
  • Support Performance Management: assist with the cycle, including objective setting, mid and end-year reviews; coach managers on performance improvement.
  • Drive Learning & Development: identify training needs, promote continuous learning and career development; deliver training as needed.
  • Foster Employee Engagement & Culture: build a positive, inclusive workplace; support annual Engagement Survey, focus groups, and improvement action plans; support DEI programs.
  • Lead Change Management & Organizational Development: support organizational design and restructuring; guide managers and employees through change; facilitate communication and adoption of changes.
  • Support Compensation & Benefits: assist with implementation and communication of compensation and benefits programs in Poland; participate in annual compensation planning and salary reviews; provide guidance to ensure equity and competitiveness; participate in salary benchmarking; monitor trends and align with business needs; coordinate with Total Rewards on approvals; promote understanding of benefits and retention initiatives; ensure compliance with local regulations.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or similar role, with ability to support operations and commercial teams.
  • Strong knowledge across Talent Management, Succession Planning, Recruitment, Performance Management, Learning & Development, Employee Engagement, Change Management, and Compensation & Benefits.
  • Ability to advise senior managers and collaborate with HR leaders; experience working with Polish regulatory context.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to influence across functions.
  • English proficiency for professional communication.
