About the Role:
As a Handyman, you will support the maintenance team in delivering exceptional facility operations by carrying out a variety of preventive and corrective maintenance activities. You will utilize your practical skills to uphold operational standards and contribute to a safe, clean, and efficient environment. This role operates under moderate supervision and provides a critical foundation for building maintenance and operations.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist in performing routine and preventive maintenance tasks across various building systems and equipment
- Apply established understanding of processes and procedures to ensure operational efficiency
- Support inventory monitoring and assist with restocking maintenance supplies as needed
- Evaluate maintenance situations and select solutions from standard options without supervisory approval
- Communicate detailed and complicated information with clarity to team members for seamless workflow
- Collaborate with senior technicians on specialized building repairs and troubleshooting activities
- Follow safety procedures and contribute to workplace health and safety compliance
- Deliver high-quality work output while adhering to standardized practices and guidelines
- Participate in regular team meetings and training to reinforce best practices
- Support minor custodial efforts and ensure common areas meet cleanliness standards
What You’ll Need:
- High School Diploma or GED with 2-3 years of job-related maintenance experience
- Intermediate problem-solving skills with capacity to independently evaluate and select solutions
- Ability to provide clear and concise explanations of complex information within the team
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong organizational skills paired with a robust and curious mindset
- General math skills, including the ability to calculate percentages, fractions, and related figures
- Proficient communication and teamwork skills for supporting operational objectives
- Capacity to meet the physical requirements, including standing, walking, climbing, and lifting up to 50 lbs
