About this role
About Nous
Nous is an AI agent that takes some of the load of life; making good decisions and acting for our users in areas where they’re not the experts or aren’t paying enough attention. We've started with optimising bills, where we're already saving households thousands, and are now expanding into new categories. Similar to how Amazon picked books as its first category and grew from there.
We’re growing fast, and it's working. 20x YoY growth makes us one of the fastest scaling startups in the UK. And NPS of +70 (higher than Apple) shows that our users love it.
We've just launched two more novel new products (on top of our existing bill optimisation). Insurance: we're the first to get the regulatory approval and build the tech to actually do the full insurance discovery and purchase journey as an agent for the user (not just give them a link to the best deal). Subscription management: lots of companies use Open Banking to draw pretty graphs – we're the first to use it to actively save people money starting by cancelling unwanted subscriptions for them.
It would be easy to look at this and think we've got it all figured out. But we've only scratched the surface; our ambitions are SO much higher.
We’re building a new category of product which is hard, so we’ve stacked the deck in our favour: an experienced founding team with multiple exits, and investors including the founders of Monzo, Wise, Booking.com, lastminute.com, Onfido, Funding Circle, Tide, Habito and more.
Still - the problems we’re solving are hard. ‘Talk is cheap’ applies to agents too. To have REAL impact, agents need to break out of the sandbox and take action in the real world where there are consequences. This means solving all the hard, thorny, interesting, frustrating problems the real world has to offer.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for a commercially minded Growth Lead to own influencer, one of our core channels and run it as a system rather than a set of relationships.
You'll focus on influencer for your first three to six months, then take on more channels. As we grow, influencer is likely to split into separate areas (micro-influencer volume, macro-influencers, performance, and brand and ambassadors), so there's real room to shape the team.
You'll have run influencer or creator acquisition before, but you'll have approached it as a process and automation problem rather than a partnerships or creative one.
Your goal will be performance, not brand or reach. You'll be hands-on across the channel: finding creators, negotiating fees, writing briefs, reviewing content and managing campaigns. You'll also help answer the bigger questions: who should we work with, what should we pay, what content converts, and how do we scale the channel profitably?
We've built internal tools to manage everything from creator outreach to performance and payments, and we're constantly improving them. You don't need to be an engineer, but your instinct has to be to build it yourself, not to ask an engineer to do it for you.
You'll report to Ezra, our Head of Growth, with support from one to two growth associates.
What matters most
We need someone who brings all of these at once:
-
You can own commercial outcomes: what a creator is worth, what to pay, and whether they drove customers at the right CAC.
-
You treat the channel as a process to optimise, scale and automate. You reach for AI tools yourself: you don't have to be an expert, but you're already using them in your own work.
-
You roll up your sleeves. You're urgent and hungry, and you're happy doing hands-on, high-volume work yourself.
What you'll do
-
Run influencer campaigns end-to-end: finding creators, outreach, negotiation, briefing, approvals and performance review.
-
Make commercial decisions: work out what creators are worth, negotiate fees and structure deals that make sense for us.
-
Own performance: understand how we're tracking against volume and CAC targets and act when we're falling behind.
-
Build and run high-volume outreach to micro-influencers, alongside managing agency relationships.
-
Create content that converts: write strong briefs and give clear feedback on creator content.
-
Based on that, any updates we want to make to the job spec? Grow the channel: test new creators, propositions, platforms and approaches, then scale what works.
-
Make us more efficient: use AI, internal tools and better processes to reduce manual work as the channel grows.
About you
You'll likely thrive here if:
-
You've run influencer or creator acquisition hands-on, ideally at a startup, and you owned a clear result.
-
You don't have to come from influencer. If you've run another marketing channel as a process problem, tell us how.
-
You've built or automated part of the channel yourself: sourcing, outreach, negotiation, tracking or payments.
-
You're commercially minded and numerate. You're comfortable negotiating and working with CAC, conversion rates, budgets and targets.
-
You care about performance. You're more interested in whether content drove customers than whether it got lots of views.
-
You have good creative judgement and a strong feel for what works with creators and audiences on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.
-
You're happy in a start-up. You're comfortable taking ownership, figuring things out and adapting as the company grows.
This probably isn't for you if you've mostly worked with a large team, agency or engineers doing the hands-on work for you.
