Job title: Graduate Assistant - Sports Medicine Administrative Assistant
About the Role Graduate Assistant for the Sports Medicine Department (Athletic Training) supports EMR system, athletic training room operations, and daily department duties. This on-site role reports to the Associate Director of Athletics-Sports Medicine and helps ensure efficient clinical and administrative operations.
What You'll Do
- Manage, organize, and maintain assigned athletic training rooms, equipment, supplies and inventory.
- Maintain computerized injury, treatment, incident, insurance, and medication forms and/or databases; ensure documentation compliance within EMR and paper records.
- Communicate with department heads; manage check-in/check-out for physician visits on campus and sports medicine physicals.
- Facilitate physician clinics by providing equipment or supplies; scan documentation into EMR/personal drive; maintain documentation compliance.
- Keep athletic training rooms stocked and sanitary; assist with daily cleaning, practice/game setup and breakdown; support daily operations of facilities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in Rehab Science or related field or enrollment in Masters in Athletic Training at UIW.
- Clinical hours in sports medicine or related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; excellent customer service; strong organization and detail orientation; professionalism.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication; ability to multi-task and work both as a team player and self-starter.
- Ability to use basic office equipment and work with diverse populations; adhere to University, Conference, and NCAA rules.
- Valid driver's license, insurable driving record, and be at least 21 years old to drive for UIW.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $2,100 + Tuition Waiver
- Work Hours: Monday – Friday with extended hours as needed to meet departmental goals.
