Job Summary
The Geologist is responsible for conducting geological and geotechnical investigations to support construction and foundation projects. The role involves analyzing subsurface conditions, interpreting soil and rock data, preparing geological reports, and providing recommendations that support safe and cost-effective engineering designs.
Key Responsibilities

Geological & Geotechnical Investigations

Conduct site investigations, geological mapping, and subsurface assessments.

Supervise borehole drilling, trial pits, sampling, and in-situ testing activities.

Log soil and rock samples and maintain accurate geological records.

Interpret geological, geophysical, and geotechnical data.

Prepare geological and geotechnical reports for project planning and execution.

Evaluate groundwater conditions and their impact on construction activities.

Project Support

Provide geological recommendations for foundation and earthwork designs.

Support piling, excavation, and slope stability assessments.

Assist engineers in selecting suitable foundation systems.

Monitor ground conditions during construction activities.

Quality, Health & Safety
-
Ensure compliance with applicable safety standards during site investigations.

Verify accuracy of field and laboratory test results.
-
Maintain proper documentation of all geological investigations.

Reporting & Documentation

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly technical reports.

Maintain geological databases, borehole logs, and site records.
-
Participate in project meetings and technical reviews.

Key Competencies
