We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer to build and maintain secure, cloud-native applications in a highly secure government environment.

The ideal candidate must have strong production frontend development experience along with hands-on Python backend development. You will work across the full application lifecycle — from database schema design and backend APIs to production user interfaces, authentication, cloud deployment, and CI/CD.

You will join a small team of 2–3 developers reporting to a Technical Lead, supporting an existing platform while also developing pilot solutions and custom MVPs.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop secure, cloud-native applications using Python/Django, FastAPI, React and Next.js

• Build production-quality frontend applications and dashboards

• Design and develop RESTful APIs and Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) patterns

• Implement Pydantic-driven data validation

• Design and optimize PostgreSQL/Aurora databases

• Perform database migrations, schema design, query optimization and data loading

• Deploy and troubleshoot applications across AWS partitions and classification levels

• Work with AWS services including EKS, Aurora, S3, IAM, VPC and KMS

• Develop and maintain Terraform modules

• Implement secure authentication using Keycloak, OIDC, SAML and/or CAC/PIV

• Develop and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines

• Support legacy data migration and platform modernization

• Troubleshoot DevSecOps issues and contribute to secure software development practices

• Work within STIG-hardened and FIPS-validated environments

• Utilize AI-assisted development tools where appropriate

• Required Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance – REQUIRED

• 5+ years of hands-on software development experience

• Strong production experience with Python

• Hands-on experience with Django and/or FastAPI

• Experience with async/ASGI and modern Python 3.13+

• Strong production experience with React, Next.js or equivalent frontend frameworks

• Must have developed and delivered complete production applications

• Strong REST API development experience

• Experience with Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) architecture

• Experience with Pydantic-based validation

• Strong PostgreSQL database design and optimization experience

• Hands-on AWS deployment and troubleshooting experience

• Experience with Terraform

• Experience with GitLab CI/CD and Git workflows

• Experience integrating secure authentication solutions such as Keycloak, OIDC, SAML or CAC/PIV

• Experience working in secure or compliance-focused environments

• Candidate Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance

• U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder

• Must live in Maryland / be able to work from Suitland, Maryland

• Available to work onsite 2–3 days per week

• Comfortable with $150K–$170K base salary

• Immediate start preferred
