About this role

About the Role The Field Service Technician provides field and inside support activities including start up and in-service training, corrective and preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and warranty evaluations for Ohio Medical source air and vacuum equipment and medical gas pipeline systems. You will follow ISO, FDA, and budgetary guidelines to minimize customer downtime and ensure high-quality, reliable products. What You'll Do

  • Receive On-The-Job Training from FST III to perform start up and in-service training on complex air and vacuum systems, and medical gas pipeline equipment.
  • Perform field service preventive maintenance, component replacement, troubleshooting, repair (in-house and field service), and warranty evaluations.
  • Follow all SOPs and Work Instructions; assist in investigations and provide recommendations to support quality policies.
  • Conduct field service work with minimal supervision; read and understand mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and product manuals.
  • Provide support for inside after-market sales activities; work on pipeline products and various systems; travel domestically up to ~40% with limited overnight stays.
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record. What We're Looking For
  • 2-4 years of electrical/mechanical experience; customer/field service experience preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate Degree/Technical Certificate preferred.
  • Ability to work toward ASSE Med Gas 6040 Certification (sponsorship may be provided).
  • English language proficiency; travel ~40% domestically, 0-2% internationally; frequent overnight travel possible.
  • Mechanical and basic electrical troubleshooting aptitude; PLC controls knowledge; pneumatic experience preferred.
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License; willingness to obtain a passport.
  • Positive customer relations, good documentation practices, and ability to work with little supervision. Nice to Have
  • Pneumatic experience (preferred).
  • Additional certifications or training related to medical gas systems. Compensation & Benefits
  • Pay Range: $53,990.00 - $62,218.00 per year.
