About the Role Facilities Technician at Logan Health performs a variety of building, equipment, and grounds maintenance across LH facilities, outbuildings, jobsites and affiliates. This role ensures reliable operations, safety, and regulatory compliance while supporting the organization's mission.

What You'll Do

  • Troubleshoot, perform preventive and predictive maintenance and repairs across electrical, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, boilers, lighting, carpentry, flooring, vehicles, Life Safety equipment, laundry equipment, and/or pool/spa operations as applicable for assigned area(s).
  • Safely operate, secure, service, store and clean assigned vehicles, machinery, equipment and tools; manage materials to control costs.
  • Act as project coordinator with outside contractors and vendors; assemble furniture and assist with relocations of offices and staff.
  • Assist with snow removal around facilities and outbuildings.
  • Perform flooring installation, minor carpentry, framing and sheetrock, door installation, patching, painting, and hanging of miscellaneous items as applicable.
  • Continuously update knowledge on new technology, equipment changes, retrofits, and codes.
  • Maintain regular attendance as scheduled; work with or without supervision.
  • Work with maintenance management software and smartphones; basic computer skills (Word, Outlook, Excel).

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a general maintenance, mechanical, plumbing or electrical field; combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Required licenses/certifications vary by work location and applicability: Montana State Boilers License or EPA Certification.
  • For the Driver portion: Current Driver’s License; driving record for the previous 36 months must not reflect major offenses.
  • State law minimum liability coverage required for personal vehicles used for LH business.
  • Fitness facilities: Certified Pool/Spa Operators License; AED certification within ninety (90) days of hire.
  • Proven ability in skilled trades related to facility and grounds maintenance; operate a wide variety of machinery, equipment and tools.
  • Working knowledge of occupational hazards and safety standards; ability to interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to handle sensitive/confidential situations with tact and diplomacy.
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, self-starter, critical thinking, ability to set priorities, and work as part of a team or independently.
  • Computer skills including Word, Outlook, Excel; maintenance management software and smartphones preferred.

  • Experience with maintenance management software and smartphones preferred.
