Export Control Officer

YOUR TASKS
As Export Control Officer, you are part of the global Foreign Trade & Export Control organization. Based in Romania, you ensure compliance with international export control and sanctions requirements and support HELLA entities worldwide.
- Ensure compliance with export control, sanctions, embargo and dual-use regulations across the global organization.
- Advise international business functions on export control requirements and assess critical cases.
- Develop and implement global standards, processes, controls and training concepts.
- Drive process excellence and digitalization within export control, including the continuous improvement Export Control Compliance System and SAP GTS-related processes and controls.
- Coordinate escalations and cooperate closely with regional and global stakeholders.
- Monitor regulatory developments and support their implementation within the global organization.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
- University degree in Business, Law, Engineering or a comparable field.
- Several years of experience in Export Control, Foreign Trade, Customs or Compliance.
- Sound knowledge of international export control and sanctions regulations.
- Experience with SAP GTS or comparable trade compliance systems is beneficial.
- Strong analytical skills, initiative, accountability and a global mindset.
- Ability to work effectively across functions, cultures and international teams.
- Fluent English; Romanian and additional languages are an advantage.
