About this role
Engagement Manager, Digital Transformation Office
Full-time | Hybrid (2–3 days/week from the office) | Garching (Munich) | ~30% travel to key office locations globally
We're looking for an Engagement Manager, Digital Transformation Office for Amer Sports' office in Garching (Munich).
Amer Sports is a global collective of iconic sports and outdoor brands, powered by a community of people who share a passion for authenticity, impact, and excellence. We bring together leading brands, talented teams, and a culture built on collaboration. If you're looking for an environment where you can make an impact and grow your career, we invite you to explore the opportunity below.
This role sits at the heart of Amer Sports' enterprise-wide digital and IT transformation — partnering with senior leaders across iconic brands like Arc'teryx, Salomon, Wilson, Atomic, and Peak Performance to turn bold transformation strategies into tangible, measurable results. If you come from a management consulting background and are ready to step out of the advisory seat and drive real change from the inside, this is your opportunity to shape our company's digital agenda with direct exposure to the Group CDIO and Executive Committee.
What you will be doing
Transformation Program Management
- Steer high-priority transformation initiatives across Group and brand teams, synchronizing KPIs, milestones, and success metrics with Group-level priorities
- Track key workstreams through to completion, anticipate risks and delivery gaps, and drive structured follow-up on mitigation actions to safeguard outcomes
- Support the definition of governance models, roles and responsibilities (RACI), and resourcing recommendations, grounding analysis in workplan and task-level data
Strategic Planning & Executive Communication
- Lead coordination of strategic planning and review cycles, including timeline management, agenda setting, and executive material preparation for the Group CDIO, Executive Committee, and functional leadership
- Apply structured problem-solving and strategic analysis to synthesize complex executional detail into clear, business-impact narratives for senior leadership
- Maintain oversight of the program portfolio, proactively surfacing cross-functional risks, interdependencies, and delivery gaps
Vendor & External Partner Management
- Support end-to-end vendor engagement, including RFP scoping and deliverable definition, ensuring clear scope, ownership, and success criteria for each engagement
- Support commercial terms review and demand consolidation in collaboration with legal and procurement teams
- Monitor vendor deliverables and timelines against commitments, ensuring external output is effectively integrated into the broader program plan
Stakeholder Liaison & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as a key interface between central functions and brand/regional leadership, ensuring transparency, consistency, and alignment on transformation goals
- Build and maintain strong, trust-based working relationships with business and technology stakeholders across time zones and geographies
- Support continuous improvements to the governance model and the effectiveness of steering committees and review forums
You will report to the Engagement Director, Digital Transformation Office.
