Meta’s Global Energy Team is seeking a experienced energy professional to manage clean and renewable energy contracts as well as carbon reduction contracts throughout the construction, development, and operational project phases.

In this role, you will be a key contributor to Meta's Global Energy Team. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of renewable energy and carbon reduction contracts including: all contract compliance items, supporting contract negotiation, monitoring project development status, monitoring project construction status, coordinating contract amendments, maintaining contract documents and data, and enforcing contract terms and conditions regarding cost, RECs and performance. You will also be responsible for monitoring financial and operational project performance metrics on a budget versus actual basis.

Energy Portfolio Manager, Operational Assets Responsibilities

• Serve as the ongoing owner for all of Meta's operational renewable energy contract requirements
• Create, maintain, update and track documents and data related to renewable energy projects
• Track counterparty compliance with contract deliverables
• Review invoicing and reporting for renewable energy project contracts, and ensure that RECs, costs and project performance are consistent with contract terms and conditions
• Respond to counterparty inquiries and manage contract amendments, collateral, force majeure claims, and other issues, as needed
• Manage approval and signature process for contract documents after execution
• Surface and resolve issues in ongoing contracts and project operations
• Coordinate with legal counsel, finance, accounting, purchasing, accounts payable/receivable and other key stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, energy or environmental science, paralegal studies or similar
• 5+ years of experience in energy contract management, energy project development, or energy operations with an electric utility, energy supplier, project developer, or energy-intensive industrial or consumer company
• Experience managing a portfolio of renewable energy projects and understanding performance metrics
• Experience drafting official correspondence between counterparties and experience developing and maintaining partnerships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Experience with G-Suite, Salesforce, AI tooling
• Experience in building cross-functional relationships and managing 3rd Party Vendors
• Experience analyzing and interpreting energy generation data, virtual PPAs, green tariffs, and wholesale energy market data

Preferred Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in clean energy contracts and/or asset management, renewable energy origination, or energy project operations
• Experience with contract lifecycle management (CLM) systems
• Experience communicating complex contractual and technical issues to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., through executive summaries, briefing documents, or status reports)
• Proven experience managing operational utility-scale generation and storage assets
• Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
• Experience developing portfolio-level reporting and dashboards
• Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
• Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)

United States of America: $132,000/year to $188,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
