About the Role Cook provides nutrition services according to professional standards to assigned area(s) at Logan Health's Nutrition Services, supporting quality, compassionate care and dietary needs of patients. What You'll Do

  • Adheres to state and regulatory standards related to the position.
  • Maintains sanitation practices and follows HACCP guidelines.
  • Accurately and efficiently follows recipes and production sheets.
  • Meets meal deadlines and produces high-quality meals; efficiently works assigned stations.
  • Demonstrates strong knowledge of patient diets and ensures compliance.
  • Communicates needs for procurement and maintains inventory of food and supplies.
  • Completes daily cleaning assignments accurately and efficiently.
  • Produces multiple menu items concurrently in a safe and sanitary way.
  • Maintains regular attendance as scheduled and works well in a team while respecting confidentiality. What We're Looking For
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in health care or food service setting preferred.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and established procedures; follow recipes and production sheets.
  • ServSafe certification or food handler’s certification preferred or must obtain within six months of hire.
  • Proficient knife and equipment skills.
  • Possess knowledge of patient diets preferred.
  • Computer skills sufficient to learn department systems (Meditech, Excel, Word, online ordering and recipe programs).
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.
  • Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy. Nice to Have
  • HACCP knowledge or sanitation best practices.
  • Experience with Meditech, Excel, Word, online ordering and recipe programs. Compensation & Benefits
  • PRN positions (Casual, As Needed, or Per Diem) offer flexible coverage to support the team, including potential eligibility for a matching 401(k) plan and access to the Employee Assistance Program.
  • Eligible for hourly differential pay for certain shifts or hours, depending on department-specific scheduling needs.
  • Logan Health operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week; schedules are set to accommodate the position and organization and may be adjusted as needed.
