The Role: Collaborating Physician (1099 Contract)

Midi Health is seeking licensed physicians in Mississippi and South Carolina to serve as Collaborating Physicians for our Nurse Practitioners

This role does NOT include:

  • Direct patient care

  • Daily operational supervision

The responsibility of this role is to fulfill the legal and administrative requirements of NP collaboration agreements in applicable states.

Compensation (1099 Contract Role)

  • South Carolina: $300 per FTE per month

  • Mississippi: $100 per FTE per month

  • Paid monthly, per FTE

  • Training is paid

This is an asynchronous, remote-friendly 1099 role that fits easily alongside other professional work.

License Requirements

  • A practice location in the state where you will serve as collaborating Physician

  • Active, unrestricted, unencumbered MD or DO license in one or more of the following states:

  • South Carolina (SC)

  • Mississippi (MS)

What You’ll Do

  • Enter into Nurse Practitioner collaboration agreements as required by state law

  • Maintain active licensure in good standing for the duration of the agreement

  • Participate in state-specific administrative requirements, as applicable by state

  • State-Specific Requirements

  • Mississippi

  • • Must have a practice location in Mississippi

  • • Review 20 charts per month

  • • Lead quarterly virtual meetings with collaborating NPs, held on the first Wednesday of the month

  • South Carolina

  • • Must have a practice location in South Carolina

  • • No meeting or chart review requirement

  • What We’re Looking For

  • Required

  • Board-Certified MD or DO

  • Active unrestricted, unencumbered medical license in SC or MS

  • Willingness to serve as a collaborating physician of record for Nurse Practitioners

  • Comfortable in a non-clinical, administrative role

  • Commitment Expectations

  • Agreement to cover at least 50% of collaborating physician slots in states where Midi operates

  • Ability to maintain licensure and required documentation throughout the contract period
