Meta is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive strategic partnership deals and commercial agreements across the payments and FinTech ecosystem. You will work at the intersection of product, policy, legal, and engineering to unlock, enable, and scale payments and commerce opportunities across Meta's family of apps, including Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger — negotiating directly with payment networks, issuers and acquirers, digital wallets, PSPs, and emerging FinTech platforms.

Your deals will enable new payments and commerce experiences for AI and agentic transactions, Muse, Reality Labs devices, subscriptions, creator monetization, the core ads business, and more. This role requires deep expertise in the payments industry and a track record of closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals.

Responsibilities

• Identify and prioritize partnership opportunities against Meta's payments and commerce roadmap, building a pipeline tied to product and business priorities

• Negotiate and close high-value strategic agreements with payment networks, processors, acquirers, issuers, and other FinTech partners to enable and expand Meta's commerce and payments capabilities

• Lead cross-functional deal teams from opportunity assessment through signing, aligning commercial, technical, and regulatory workstreams

• Develop and present business cases, deal frameworks, and partnership recommendations to executive leadership, synthesizing market dynamics, competitive positioning, and financial modeling

• Partner with product, engineering, legal, policy, and finance to translate signed agreements into scalable product integrations

• Minimum Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or corporate development within the payments, FinTech, or financial services industry

• Experience negotiating and closing complex, multi-stakeholder commercial agreements with payment networks, financial institutions, digital wallet providers, or FinTech companies

• Experience working cross-functionally with product, engineering, legal, policy, and finance teams to structure and execute partnership deals

• Experience developing and presenting strategic recommendations and deal frameworks to executive audiences

• Experience communicating and presenting to technical and business audiences

• Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)

• Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)

• Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies

• United States of America: $193,000/year to $269,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

• Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
