Adjunct Faculty will teach courses in the Department of History, on an as needed basis

Responsibilities

• Lewis University is seeking an instructor proficient in Spanish and English, with academic preparation and expertise in History, who can teach courses in Spanish. As a Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI), Lewis values students’ linguistic and cultural identities as assets and is advancing translanguaging practices that strengthen multilingual learning and student success. • Responsible to model the University Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, respectful collaboration and active support of the University’s Mission and Catholic and Lasallian higher education.

• Teach one or more classes

• Availability to hold office hours and meet with other faculty members and department chairs or directors when necessary

• Serve as a model of professionalism and act as a resource for students within the teaching-learning environment.

• Minimum Qualifications

• Masters degree in related field. Excellent communication skills.
