Job title: Athletics - Laundry and Equipment Room Student Assistant (2026/2027) - FWS ONLY
About the Role Student Equipment and Laundry Assistants support laundry services and monitor the equipment room under the Equipment Manager. This role provides hands-on exposure to the daily operations of a college athletic program by working with coaches, administrators, and student-athletes.
What You'll Do
- Work in a team environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Multi-task and get assignments done in a timely manner
- Communicate effectively with people from all levels of the athletic department
- Be courteous to student-athletes and their needs
- Be respectful of the equipment of each sport and athlete
- Wash and dry uniforms, practice clothes, and towels
- Assist the Equipment Manager with equipment needs
- Familiarity with laundry equipment is a must
- Monitor window to equipment room
- Work other athletic events as needed
What We're Looking For
- Ability to wash and dry uniforms, practice clothes, and towels
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
- Familiarity with tools and athletic equipment
- Must be a student at ULV
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly rate: $16.90
- One hour of Paid Sick Leave for every 30 hours worked, with a maximum accrual of 24 hours per year and capped at 48 hours
