Job title: Associate Scientist I, Quality Control
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out procedures associated with DNA and RNA for sequencing platforms, including DNA/RNA sample extraction, quantification and preparation, Illumina Infinium genotyping. Assist with library preparation and sequencer operation for Illumina NovaSeq X, Ultima UG100, Oxford Nanopore PromethION, PacBio Revio platforms, as needed. Perform quality control of initial samples and sequencing ready final library samples. Perform sample nucleic acid extraction with the use of automation (Hamilton Star, KingFisher Flex, QIAcube Connect). Process DNA for Illumina microarray platforms with use of automation (Hamilton Star, Tecan, iScan). Conduct other laboratory work, as needed. Track all work and issues in the appropriate databases and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
