What We're Looking For: The Associate Counsel is a hands-on legal role supporting Zebra’s channel and partner business across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).

While the role focused on partner onboarding, standard channel contracts, and practical day-to-day support, we are looking for a forward-thinking professional who wants to look beyond the templates. We need an energetic, proactive personality who is passionate about legal design, process optimization, and contributing creative ideas to regional and global legal projects.

Working closely with Brno-based Channel Operations, Deal Desk, Sales, and global Legal colleagues, the Associate Counsel will apply approved templates and playbooks, while actively identifying opportunities to simplify and automate workflows. Over time, the role offers a clear path to managing routine matters with increasing independence, leading legal-process projects, and contributing to the creative development of next-generation templates, guidance, and legal tech resources.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Serve as a first legal contact for routine partner onboarding and channel questions arising through the Zebra Partner Interaction Center in Brno, working with Deal Desk, Channel Operations, Sales, and Legal colleagues.
• Draft, review, and support negotiation of standard channel agreements, amendments, and partner documentation.
• Prepare and review routine partner notices, authorization letters, and documentation relating to partner corporate changes.
• Assist with first-level review of channel programme documents, promotions, partner communications, and other channel-facing materials.
• Proactively identify practical, out-of-the-box ways to simplify, standardize, or automate recurring legal work and channel workflows.
• Actively contribute to and co-shape Channel Legal projects and process improvement initiatives as your experience develops.
• Bring a creative approach to legal drafting – helping us make our guidelines, templates, and knowledge resources more visual, user-friendly, and accessible for our sales and operations teams.
• Support EMEA and global channel integrity and brand protection initiatives, including reviewing potential misuse of Zebra trademarks, copyrighted materials, and other protected brand assets.
• Manage routine matters with increasing independence, while escalating complex, sensitive, competition law, compliance, precedent-setting, or strategically significant issues.

Qualification

• Master’s Degree in Law (Mgr. / equivalent) from an accredited European university is required.
• 2–4 years of experience (either in-house or with a law firm), with a strong foundation in commercial contract drafting.
• Proven experience or solid understanding of indirect sales channels, multi-tier distribution models (Distributor-Reseller-End User), or partner-network ecosystem environments is a big plus.
• Continuous Improvement Mindset: A proactive personality with a genuine interest in process simplification, legal technology, and modern legal operations.
• Creative Problem Solver: Ability to look at routine workflows, question the status quo, and propose practical, efficient enhancements.
• Communication & Collaboration: Collaborative, pragmatic, and solution-oriented approach; ability to explain legal processes clearly and build strong relationships with non-legal business partners.

Skills

• Solid commercial contract drafting, review, and negotiation skills; ability to manage routine matters independently and know when to escalate complex issues.
• Languages: Proficiency in English (written and oral) is required. Additional European languages are a strong advantage.

Incentive Compensation:

• In addition to base pay, Zebra offers this role the opportunity to earn a performance-based annual cash incentive, at a target equal to 12% of base pay, in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
