Position Summary The Assistant Director of Enrollment helps build strong, energized relationships with prospective students and their families, exploring and connecting their goals with CCPA degree programming and pathways, and leads recruitment efforts to secure and grow the college’s next cohorts of performing artists — building upon and contributing to an historic legacy of arts education. This role serves as the operation manager for the CCPA Office of Enrollment, overseeing and organizing special events, admission auditions, visiting high school groups, and daily campus tours in collaboration with faculty, program directors, and university offices. The Assistant Director is also the acting supervisor of CCPA Enrollment’s team of student workers.
In addition to recruiting for the Interdisciplinary, Music, or Theatre Conservatory programs currently offered, the Assistant Director oversees the application process for anywhere from 200 to 700 of our applicants.
This hybrid position requires an average of 3 days onsite (Chicago campus) per week. Travel is required. Some evenings and weekends are required. This is a full-time, exempt position reporting to the Assistant Dean of Enrollment Management in the Chicago College of Performing Arts.

The salary range for this position is $51,000-$53,600
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
- A Bachelor’s degree in music, theatre, performing arts, arts administration, or a related field from a Music or Theatre Conservatory or School.
- 2-3 years of relevant experience working in admissions, enrollment, higher education, recruitment, or performing arts administration.
- Significant knowledge of college admissions processes, and collegiate degree programs in Music and/or Theatre.
- The ability to travel, drive, and recruit is essential.
- Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage relationships both externally and within Roosevelt University.
- Ability to manage team event calendar, personal recruitment calendar, and student worker scheduling calendars at once and meet fixed deadlines.
- Ability to build and monitor budgeting of student worker hourly pay, as well as supervise, train, and schedule student workers.
- Ability to navigate personal and potentially difficult conversations and situations with care and tact.
- Excellent organizational, communication (written and verbal), interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations in a multicultural environment.
- Demonstrates initiative and ability to prioritize and work independently.
- Understands the landscape of higher education recruitment and can identify obstacles, opportunities, and potential solutions.
- Comfortable using data to monitor recruitment activity, identify trends, and inform outreach strategies.
- Ability to exercise considerable judgment and discretion when working with admission counselors, prospective students, families, and school/external partners.

- Experience with database systems (CRM and/or SIS) to input and access individualized and general information related to recruitment and enrollment.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Certification/Licensure Required Valid driver’s license and/or means to travel for recruitment.
Minimum Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree in music, theatre, performing arts, arts administration, or a related field from a Music or Theatre Conservatory, Program, or School. Relevant experience working in admissions, enrollment, higher education, recruitment, or performing arts administration.
Preferred Qualifications Master’s Degree in related field.
Equipment Operated Basic office equipment: desktop/laptop computer, copier/ multi-function device, fax, cellphone, and landline telephone. Software systems: CRM (Slate), video conferencing (Zoom), artistic application and scheduling site Acceptd, and remote communication tool (Microsoft Teams)
Working Conditions Normal climate-controlled office environment is provided. Job is often sedentary, but there is a need to move about the office and buildings frequently. Occasional bending, stooping, lifting, pushing and/or pulling is required (typically less than 10 pounds of weight or pressure). Regular use of desktop computer is required, calling for frequent hand/wrist movement and repetition. Some evening and weekend hours may be required as necessary for both onsite and offsite events. Traveling by car, public transit, or flight may be required as necessary to travel to and from event sites. Moderate level of stress.
