Position Summary

The Advanced Associate, Compensation provides administrative and operational support to the Global Compensation Plan team by processing HR transactions, managing employee requests, and ensuring timely and accurate completion of cases in Oracle Fusion and other HR systems.

This role supports day-to-day Compensation operations and handles requests ranging from simple to complex, including transactions that require additional validation, reporting, or mass processing. The Advanced Associate is expected to consistently meet service levels, quality standards, and productivity requirements while maintaining the confidentiality and accuracy of employee information.

The role reports to the Specialist, Compensation and works closely with HR Operations to ensure efficient and consistent delivery of HR services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process simple to complex HR and Compensation-related transactions submitted by current and former Pearson employees, HR colleagues, and other authorized stakeholders.
  • Perform HR transactions and updates in Oracle Fusion and other HR technologies, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
  • Provide administrative support for compensation processes, including requests that require additional validation, or processing beyond standard Tier 1 support.
  • Support bulk or mass transactions, including requests involving multiple employee records, in accordance with established procedures and controls.
  • Investigate and resolve process, policy, and system-related questions within the scope of the role, escalating complex or sensitive matters when appropriate.
  • Utilize knowledge management resources, standard operating procedures, and available tools to efficiently complete transactions and resolve inquiries.
  • Accurately document all cases, actions taken, and resolutions in the case management system.
  • Ensure transactions are completed within established service levels, quality standards, and productivity targets.
  • Maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive employee and Compensation information.
  • Apply HR policies, processes, and applicable country-specific requirements consistently and accurately.
  • Demonstrate a customer-focused approach by communicating clearly, professionally, and empathetically with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Support process improvements, change initiatives, and other operational projects as assigned.
  • Contribute to the effective and efficient delivery of daily HR Operations and Compensation services.
  • Identify process issues or opportunities for improvement and proactively raise them to the appropriate team members.
  • Perform other related administrative and operational duties as required to support the Global Compensation Plan team.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field preferred.

Experience

  • At least 1 year of experience in HR, Compensation & Benefits, HR Operations, or related administrative work preferred.

  • Experience working with Oracle Fusion or other HRIS platforms preferred.

  • Experience using ticketing or case management systems preferred.

  • Experience handling data processing, administrative transactions, or employee-related requests is an advantage.
