Job title: Zamak Die-Casting Workshop Supervisor
About the Role Based in Redon, France, the Zamak die-casting workshop supervisor leads all production activities related to Zamak injection molding at the Redon factory. They ensure quality, productivity, on-time delivery, safety, and proper operation of production equipment, and supervise roughly twenty operators, setters, and technicians. They actively contribute to continuous improvement of industrial processes.
What You'll Do
- Organize and oversee Zamak molding operations.
- Ensure production schedule adherence and meet productivity, quality and cost targets.
- Monitor performance indicators and optimize cycle times and machine yields.
- Draft maintenance service specifications and participate in supplier selection.
- Manage production teams: assign tasks, set priorities, train operators and setters, and ensure safety and procedures.
- Contribute to recruitment and staff evaluations.
- Supervise presses and peripherals; assist mold debugging and development of new molds; coordinate corrective actions with maintenance, quality and methods.
- Guarantee part conformity, analyze rejects, and implement corrective actions.
- Participate in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives; ensure quality standards and control procedures are followed.
- Ensure HSE rules are applied; prevent risks in the fusion and molding process; participate in safety and quality audits.
What We're Looking For
- Technical education: Engineer in foundry, plastics, mechanical or industrial production.
- First successful experience in managing a workshop.
- Knowledge of foundry presses and peripherals and/or injection molding process is a plus.
- Reading technical drawings.
- Knowledge of metallurgy and tooling.
- Mastery of production tracking tools.
- Leadership and ability to federate a team.
- Organization and prioritization; reactivity and decision-making.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of foundry presses and peripherals and/or injection molding process is a plus.
- Additional knowledge of metallurgy and tooling.
