Hope Street Youth and Family Services Ltd ("Hope Street") has over 45 years of experience delivering specialist services to young people and their families experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for a positive and dedicated Youth Worker for a part-time role for the Youth Residential Service, that will be available to work 60 hours per fortnight.
Week 1 and 2:
Monday to Friday 3:30pm – 10.00pm (includes an unpaid 30-minute break)
On a day-to-day basis, you will:
- Provide support and assistance with living skills, connections with the community, personal and social development, employment, education and training.
- Assist young people to follow up actions from their case management plans including housing, income, education and training, health and wellbeing, general living skills and recreational activities.
- Complete client file notes as needed and assist with administration duties to help operations run smoothly.
- Motivate young clients to achieve meaningful goals and make a real difference in young people’s lives.

ABOUT YOU
- You have a bachelor’s degree or are you in your final year of a Social Work, Youth Work, or relevant welfare related qualification
- You have demonstrated knowledge of youth-focused practice frameworks such as strengths-based or trauma-informed practice
- You have highly developed communication skills including relationship building, problem solving and report writing
- You pride yourself on your ability to motivate and advocate for clients to achieve outcomes
- You are highly competent using the full suite of Microsoft applications
- You are able to maintain accurate confidential administrative records and progress notes
