About the Role The Youth Employment Service (YES) is a public-private initiative led by the Presidency to address youth unemployment. Eskom offers 12-month YES contracts to unemployed South Africans to gain first work experience in the energy sector. Successful candidates will be placed in Eskom Operations across divisions, including Kendal Power Station in Mpumalanga, under the Human Resources department. What You'll Do
- Participate in the YES 12-month program and gain initial work experience in the energy industry.
- Be placed in Eskom Operations across divisions, with a base at Kendal Power Station, Mpumalanga. What We're Looking For
- South African citizen
- Aged 18 to 34
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Must not have been permanently employed with a single employer for more than 1 year
- Must not be studying full-time in the year of employment
- Must not have previously participated/registered on YES
- Leadership qualities, ability to work in a team, integrity, professionalism, customer focus, and strong communication/interpersonal/negotiation/liaising skills; politeness, promptness, energy, self-starter attitude, and assertiveness Compensation & Benefits
